Dr. Richard Guthrie, Dean of Auburn University College of Agriculture is retiring

Dr. Richard Guthrie, AGP 2010 Rainer Award recipient, will be retiring after more than 25 years as dean of Auburn University College of Agriculture.

Dr. Guthrie’s replacement will be Dr. William Batchelor, head of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University.  He will begin his appointment on July 15, 2010.  From 2005 to 2007, he served as a Distinguished International Professor for the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany.
