Dean Hendrix is Director of Engineering Global Programs for Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn
College of Engineering. In this role, Dr. Hendrix supports Auburn Engineering’s growing
international presence, and coordinates programs and partnerships with universities,
companies, and organizations across the world.

Dr. Hendrix also serves as Associate Department Chair of Computer Science and Software
Engineering (CSSE) and Director of CSSE Undergraduate Programs. Dr. Hendrix has a broad
background in software engineering and computing education, which includes the development
of new degree programs, directing multi-institutional federally funded education research
projects, developing software visualization tools used in hundreds of schools internationally,
and teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in computer science and
software engineering.
