Quality Engineer
SWJ TECHNOLOGY
SWJ TECHNOLOGY is seeking for the talents in the market for our clients.
Quality Engineers are needed, who develop and implement quality systems to ensure products meet
customer’s requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process including
incoming inspection. Identify shortfalls of current quality system and develops and implements corrective
measures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage all quality-related issues (e.g., internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty)
• Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
• Carry out product and process auditing
• Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively so that all
produced material will meet customer standards
• Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring,
rework levels, parts per million (PPM) figures
• Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system
(IATF16949/ISO9001)
• Responsible for first off sample approvals and PPAP documentation
• Coordinate technical changes and ensure on-time industrialization of new products including
advanced quality planning activities up to series production
• Responsible for supplier management, create proper reports, control supplier process, support
troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Function as customer contact for complaints and quality related issues and warranty claims
• Fulfill backup function for gauge calibration and documentation as well as backup for project
coordination
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• 5 years minimum experience in related function within the automotive industry
• Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to present data effectively
• Familiar with requirements of quality management systems IATF 16949
• Experience of automotive manufacturing processes and welding processes
• Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval
Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Able to read technical drawings and CMM reports
• Effective problems solving
• Analytical thinking
• Experience dealing with customers and suppliers
• Proficient with MS Office
• Customer quality assurance experience
• Knowledge of German language is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Work Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Must be able to be on feet for 8 hours or more
• Must be able to sit long hours at a desk
• Must be able to work weekends and extended shifts as needed
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
• Location: Alabama
• Schedule: Monday-Friday / 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Core Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Overtime: As needed.
• Weekend Work: As needed.
• Assignment Start: ASAP
