Professional Background

Randy Rogers, Evonik Corporation, has over 33 combined years in the specialty chemical manufacturing sector where he managed Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, Security, Contractor Safety, Compliance Training, site Communications, Emergency Response systems, Public Relations and Governmental Affairs.

The past 26 years, he has worked at the Mobile production plant, a world class specialty chemical manufacture and Evonik’s largest “multi-user” site in North America with over 850 employees and 300+ contract employees. 

In his current role, he is Director of Site Communications, Public Relations and Governmental Affairs reporting to the Vice President & Site Manager.

During his career, he has held numerous professional leadership roles that include:

Workforce:  (Board member) the Alabama Workforce Council appointment by the Governor, (Committee member) Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce “Partner’s for Growth” and (Board member) Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Council.

Education:  (Board member) Mobile County Public School Systems (MCPSS) Superintendent’s “Leaders Roundtable”, (Site Coordinator) MCPSS “Partner-In-Education” (Evonik supports 4 local schools) and the (Advisory Board member) MCPSS Environmental Studies Center

Professional:  (Board member) University of Alabama – Alabama Productivity Center, (Past planning committee member) Alabama Governor’s Safety & Health Conference, (Past President) Mobile Chapter American Society of Safety Engineers, (Past Chairman) Greater Mobile Emergency Planning Committee, (Past Board member) Mobile Sports Hall of Fame and (Past Chairman) South Mobile Industrial Association.  

He also serves as the liaison for the Vice President & Site Manager in other external and governmental affairs & special initiatives.     

Educational

Randy earned a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Alabama and was an active Paramedic for over 20 years.
